What we keep, what we don't.
This page explains what amgy collects, what it doesn't, and what you can do about it. If anything's unclear, see the support page.
What we collect
Account. When you sign up you give us an email, a username, and a password. Your password is hashed before it touches our servers — we never see your plain-text password and there's no way to recover it. You also pick a role (Athlete or Coach) at sign-up.
Your training. Workouts you log, programs you build, body weight entries, food and water logs, challenges you create or join. This data lives on your device and is replicated to our servers so it follows you to your iPad or your next iPhone.
Coach and challenge content. If you create an athlete entry as a Coach, or invite friends to a challenge, the names you type go with your account.
Crash diagnostics. To keep the app stable, amgy sends crash and error reports to Sentry, a third-party diagnostics service. These contain technical details (stack traces, device model, OS version, app version) and are used only to find and fix bugs — never for advertising or tracking.
Push notifications. If you allow notifications, your device's push token is stored with your account so we can notify you about things like friend requests. It's used only to deliver notifications; you can turn it off in iOS Settings.
What we don't do
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or run ads.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
Where it lives
Locally on your iPhone or iPad, in storage that iOS encrypts at rest. And on our servers, in a region near you, behind access rules that ensure only your account can read your rows. Traffic between your device and our servers is over TLS.
Sharing
Your data goes to the servers powering cloud sync (Supabase) and, for crash diagnostics only, to Sentry. We don't sell or share it onward. We may disclose data if compelled by a valid legal order — same as any service operating in your country.
Your rights
- Export — open any program and tap "Share program" to get a portable code. For a full export, email.
- Delete — You tab → Danger zone → Delete my account. Wipes everything from both your device and our servers, irreversibly.
- Object — email and we'll talk through it.
What goes public when you publish
amgy lets you publish programs to a community library. When you do, the program name, day labels, exercises, sets, and reps become visible to other amgy users. Your @username and role appear next to it. Your email never does. Toggle Publish off and it un-lists.
Children
amgy is intended for users 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. For changes that materially affect what we collect, we'll surface a notice inside the app.
